Lip Blush/
Lip Lightening

The full lip has been a revered element of beauty in art from around the world and across the centuries. But nature doesn’t always grace us with this beauty mark and time can alter it as well. Lip blush is the newest semi-permanent trend that enhances the natural lip shape with a boost of symmetry and color. It is an extremely popular treatment that defines lip contours and adds a natural flush to your lip color. This treatment delivers very natural results once healed. Pigments are available in all different shades to match all lips to provide a subtle color that enhances the natural lip color and camouflages scars, paleness or unevenness.

Why Lip Blush?

Is it for you?

At Picture Perfect Teeth Whitening & Cosmetic our goal is to provide all our clients with the utmost natural outcome. Our signature technique uses a small needle and works softly on the lips to gently deposit color without creating a heavy lip-line /border appearance. Colors are chosen for the client's desired results and skin tones.

Why Lip Blush?

Lip blush is a micro pigmentation technique that taints your lips with a flush that appears natural yet enhancing. Using only organic pigments, we achieve a color that deepens the natural color of the lip, appearing fuller and richer in pigmentation.

Should I Choose Lip Blush or Neutralization?

Do your lips look dark? Two-Toned? Brown? How about, cool toned?  If your lips fall into one of these categories a Lip Neutralization would be first. After that would be Lip Blush.

How Does Lip Blush Work?

Lip color is applied to the entire lip surface by the micro-pigmentation process. We then redefine the shape of the lips, if desired, correcting imperfections in symmetry or shape. We can even redesign the outline of the lips, in order to create a more desirable look. A few weeks after the procedure, touch-ups are performed, leaving you with full, gorgeous lips. Clients who have permanent makeup applied to their lips can choose between a package with one touch-up, or two, depending on how gradually they prefer to build the color.

During the procedure, topical anesthetics are applied to the lips to minimize any discomfort you may feel. After the procedure, slight puffiness will be apparent for the first twenty-four hours. The applied color is likely to appear approximately twenty-five percent darker or lighter, immediately after its application, but will achieve its permanent color after a few weeks. During this interval, it’s normal for your lips to feel somewhat dry or chapped, so we strongly advise you to follow every step of the aftercare.

01

Is it possible to have a natural looking permanent lip blush color?

Yes. The lip blush permanent makeup yields the most natural results, as

lip-liner tends to look very unnatural. With the help of Swissa’s skilled color-blending expertise, the pigment shouldn’t stray too far from the original color, in order to preserve the natural look. Lip blush looks luscious and lasts longer.

02

Who is the best candidate for permanent lip blush?

The best candidates for permanent lip blush are individuals with naturally faint lip color, individuals with scars or discoloration around the lips, individuals with uneven lips, those who simply want to save time.

03

How Long Does Lip Blush Last?

Lip blushing can last between two to three years depending on the client's body, skin type and lifestyle. Smoking and sun exposure can speed up the fading process, and if you’re oil-prone, have an iron deficiency or use a lot of exfoliating products in your skin regimen, the pigment could fade more quickly, too.

04

Will I need more than one session?

Lip Blushing requires two sessions for the desired color and results. During the first session, the main goal is to neutralize the lips so it is even in color. During the second session, another layer of color is added for color results and longevity.

05

Does It Work on Everyone?

Some people are not good candidates for dark lip neutralization. Those who have excessive lip hyperpigmentation can end up getting even darker lips after the treatment.

06

How Does Lip Blushing on Dark Lips Work?

Lip blush is basically done in two sessions. The first one is the initial tattooing and after the lips are healed, 6-8 weeks after the treatment, a touch up is needed. This is how it is usually done. But dark lip neutralization, especially ethnic lips, usually requires more sessions to achieve satisfying results.

While lip blush is done by coloring the lips, neutralization is needed for lip blushing on dark lips. The first step is to neutralize cool tones and lift the darkness of lips with the help of warm-based pigment.

After the lips are neutralized and healed, a target color can be added if you want it.

Dark lips neutralization is not an easy task to do. It should be done by a skilled and certified lip blush artist, who has experience in lip blushing on dark lips and knows the color theory inside out.
